Five people have been taken into custody in Powhatan County, accused of aiding and assisting the main suspects in the shooting death of Tahliek Taliaferro last month.

According to a search warrant obtained by CBS 6 - the deadly shooting unfolded in a Sheetz parking lot in Powhatan's Flat Rock area.

The man who developed the Danville-Pittsylvania County Veterans Memorial has been honored for his service by the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
